About me
My name is Joerg Mueller. I am a Scrummaster and Manager at Hypoport AG . We are developing solutions for financial services. In my role I spread the wisdom of agile methodologies. Whenever time allows I also work as a software developer. I am especially interested in software development infrastructure. We have some nice stuff set up, which I will also tell you about in this blog.
Software Development is my passion since more than 20 years. I started programming on east german home computers in the late 80’s (KC 85/3 if sombody still knows them). In my early adventures I used the obligatory BASIC, but soon went on to more hardware related stuff like assembler. In the really early days I even used to enter HEX-Code directly. I still suffer from this experience. After a while this venture continued on a Commodore Amiga, which led me directly into the demo scene in the early 90’s.
My professional experience started with my studies of business computing in Berlin. After this I worked several years as IT-Consultant for employers like Oracle, Andersen and Deloitte. In those years I was specialized on Oracle ERP products. In 2005 I decided to shift my focus more on real software development again, which led me to where I am today.
